Star Wars Bad Lip Reading to Tide Us Over

I’m working on my review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but first there’s this little thing called work I have to deal with. I know, right? So while I’m dealing with that, and trying to find time to work on my review, I figured I’d start us all off with a funny Bad Lip Reading of Star Wars: A New Hope.

See? We can still have fun here. I’m going to try to get my review up sometime this afternoon, so stay tuned!

The Civil War Has Already Begun!

By that, of course, I mean the war between Captain America and Iron Man! It was there all along, we just didn’t fully notice until now.

Kudos to Mr. Sunday Movies, one of my favorite Youtube personalities. That was some quality comedy fun! And once again reminds me that I need to work on my video editing skills.

The Real Karate Kid

I never saw Karate Kid growing up. In fact, I missed out on a lot of defining movies of the 80s because my family just didn’t go to the theater to see films. We rented movies from the bargain rental shops, and those films rarely included the regular picks of my generation.

But I do enjoy going back and giggling at the old movies with the hindsight of the 21st century.

Kudos to J. Matthew Turner for this look back on this silly movie. One of my favorite comedians, Gary Gulman, has a pretty good riff on the Karate Kid too.

Sometimes you’ve just got to kick nostalgia in the tuckus.

This is Probably the Ideal Way to Start a Glorious Day!

I present to you, courtesy of the Internet, Mad Max: Fury Road in the style of Yakety Sax! And not just regular Yakety Sax, but heavy metal Yakety Sax!

Now just go ahead and let that stick in your brains for the rest of the day! You’ll be all set!

Unfortunately, the Mad Max: Fury Road DVD doesn’t come out until October! That’s forever from now! Ugh. Ah well, thanks to 6S Films for making this little diddy.

Only Leigh Knows the Dark Truth About Marvel Movies

Only Leigh remains the best. And only she seems to understand!

I don’t know why everybody’s getting burnt out about superhero movies. They’re all still awesome films and very entertaining. There are always going to be more movies, why not let them get made by people who clearly know what they’re doing and make good movies?
