Dragonball Z Hilarity
Here’s a Dragonball Z parody video a friend of mine showed me on Youtube today. It’ll probably only make sense to classic DBZ fans, and that’s alright by me. It’s basically the entire Saiyan Saga retold in a speedy 2 minutes! There are several more episodes if you follow this one to Youtube. Enjoy!
Sinestro is a Jerk…but Green Lantern Sort of Deserved This
I’m a huge fan of Robot Chicken, the stop-motion animated variety show that celebrates all of geekery. Well they have a DC Comics special coming up soon, and this is a preview clip of the Green Lantern vs. Sinestro. Hilarious and filthy. So the rest of the special should be more of the same. Guess they ran out of jokes to make about Star Wars.
New Batman Cartoon Show Announced!
Breaking news on the Interwebs today is that Batman will be returning to the small screen with a brand new animated series in 2013! I think Batman has been on TV in some animated form or another since Batman: The Animated Series in the 90s. He jumped from that to his role in the Justice League cartoons. Then there was The Batman cartoon, followed by Batman: Brave and the Bold, and now the new show to be titled Beware the Batman!
My question is, where’s Robin?
Definitely not in this preview picture, which features Batman, Katana and a gun-toting Alfred the butler. I’m serious.
Why does Alfred have a gun?
From what’s been revealed so far, it will be a CGI cartoon starring Batman and some more modern villains. That guy in the pig mask in the background is Professor Pyg, who was created within the past year. Though they say the Joker will still be around, with other classic villains. Plus Katana will be in the sidekick role for now, I guess. Boo.
I’m more than willing to give new superhero cartoons a try. DC is usually fantastic when it comes to animation. Except that the “gun-toting Alfred” is just stupid. Batman and his allies don’t use guns!
According to information I’m gathering online, it’ll be part of a DC Nation block of animation, including other shows like Doom Patrol and one starring Batgirl, Supergirl and Wonder Girl. I guess we’ll find out in two years!

We Will Make the Daffy Duck Metal
I have no idea where this Daffy Duck cartoon came from, but it’s phenomenal! I found it over on Topless Robot. I suppose it could be an epic ad for some new Looney Tunes cartoon, and if it is, then it’s brilliant. It’s a badass metal song about Daffy Duck the wizard, with fire and dragons and an elevator. This is why I created this blog. To share such things with you.
My 6 Favorite Disney Songs
What’s not to love about Disney songs? They’re an entire genre of music all on their own. There’s a reason why Disney became the powerhouse it is, because they make really good movies, at least when it comes to cartoons. Who doesn’t love the marathon awesomeness that was Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas and the Hunchback of Notre Dame in the early to mid-90s? And then Pixar, wow. Is there any greater movie-maker than Pixar these days?
For a fun list idea, I decided to show you all My 6 Favorite Disney Songs. This is Music Week, after all.
Play Mickey, play
Back in Middle School choir, all we sang were Disney songs. The popular ones too. I remember learning the songs to The Lion King specifically. I’m sure we learned some others. Then we’d all stand up on those green metal risers and sing for our parents on show night. It was fun at that age to learn the lyrics to the movie.
