Sometimes, all you have to do is wait for everything to fall apart. At long last, after years of the Krakoa-era of the X-Men comics, obscure Brotherhood of Mutants villain Phantazia has finally made an appearance. She’s never been a popular character or a major character. But she’s got a damn cool look, and it’s surprising nobody uses her more.

Not that she’s being used now.

Still, we’re in the Fall of X crossover now, with Krakoa falling apart. And only now has Phantazia appeared. Was she on Krakoa all along? What’s she doing now? Did she play a hand in the fall? We’re…probably never going to find out.

So Phantazia shows up in a single panel of the new Dark X-Men series. That’s it.

She’s not on the Dark X-Men team. She doesn’t do anything in the issue. She was just picked as one of half a dozen or so “dark” characters to be hanging out in this mutant safehouse.

But hey, she’s back. She’s been acknowledged, and that’s more attention than she’s gotten in a long, long time. So I’m happy for her. And I’m happy for us.

Maybe she’ll get a chance to be used again? Her costume/cloak thing is still cool as heck!
