Our First Look at Star Wars: Resistance!

I’ve been a big fan of the animated Star Wars cartoons, even if I was hesitant to get into either Clone Wars or Rebels. I liked them both in the end. So the fact that I’m a touch leery about this first trailer for Star Wars: Resistance is probably a good sign.

I’ve never been a particular fan of that animation style. If the Resistance team wanted to go for a more anime look — which I think they’ve said — they should have gone the Voltron route, with traditional anime characters and then computer animated ships. I think that’d be a great look for Star Wars.

I’m also not 100% sold on this story, where the young, white, male protagonist is both a racing superstar and a hotshot Rebel pilot. But like I said, I was trepidatious about Rebels, so we’ll see!

    I’m gad there is at least some alien character.

    When I first saw a Rebels trailer I didn’t like it, but now I think that show was awesome. So, even though this one doesn’t look like my cup of tea, I will give it a chance or three :).

    The animation sometimes is too… bright? It is going to take a time to get used to it…
