Arrow is Going Wild – Meet Wildcat

Ever since Arrow hit it big (and is spawning a successful Flash spin-off), DC and Warner Bros. have just started announcing a ton of new superheroes for the show! They’ve already announced the Atom and Firestorm and others I’m suddenly forgetting. Well now they’re adding Wildcat, because why not?

He will be played by a guy named J.R. Ramirez.

Named after every high school sports team ever

Wildcat, otherwise known as Ted Grant, will be a former boxer who now runs a gym for underprivileged youth. He’s apparently going to play a big part of Laurel Lance’s story arc in Season 3, possibly confirming that she’ll take over as Black Canary before too long? That’s kind of a shame, since Laurel is the worst, but Sarah is the best.

As far as I’m concerned, Arrow can just keep introducing hero after hero!

    Come on, Laurel is not THAT bad, her character is a bit lackluster but it has become better with time, she was better on S2 than in S1, so maybe they’ll be able to make her more interesting in S3, although I agree that I prefer Sarah as Black Canary now that she knows Oliver secret she may become involved more in the superheroic side of things.

    Also I know its the CW and maybe is just me but I think Ramirez looks a little young to play Wildcat, hopefully I’ll change my mind when I see him act.

    I don’t care who they introduce, I’m just glad the universe is expanding. It gives all those characters who would never get a shot at a movie a chance to shine! Agree with you about Laurel, for some reason I can’t stand her. I don’t know if it’s the actress, the personality or what. I just don’t like her.

    I am so impressed with Arrow. I thought it would just be a cool hero show and it has blown me away. I am excited for this and all the more characters to be announced. I read that episode 8 of flash is Flash V Arrow and Arrows 8th episode is Arrow V Flash. I am also hoping that Thea will be like Cheshire in Young Justice and that we meet Oliver’s child
