New World of Warcraft Expansion Revealed – Warlords of Draenor

The moment I get out, they drag me back in! I’ve been Warcraft free for a few months now, but here already comes the next expansion!

Personally, I didn’t care much for what I see in that trailer. For those of you who don’t know, Draenor is the ancient homeworld of the orcs and draenei, two of the game’s playable races. But Draenor was destroyed and exists in the game now as Outland, a barren wasteland on the other side of the Dark Portal. So it looks like this new game is going to feature time travel to some degree.

But it’s not going to feature any new playable races or classes. Basically it just looks like we’re going to get a bunch of new quests and places to visit, and considering I mostly play WoW for the lore, this expansion might not be for me. Though I do like the idea of improved character models. Still, I’ll keep my eye on things to see where they go.

    I have a couple of friends who keep trying to get me to come back and play WoW, but i haven’t touched it since i finished WotLK. So it’s tempting now, i’d have 3 expansions worth of content to play through, 20 levels and two new races (Alliance side i mean) as well. It’d be nice if they at least threw in another hero class though. I really liked creating and leveling my Death Knight when they came out. Shit, i’m starting to get nostalgic, i better stop talking about it.

      I hear you on that Hero Class thing. I haven’t played a Death Knight yet, but why only do it that one time? I’d been out of WoW for a long time, but the pandarians brought me back!

    I got MoP and leveled up but quit before raiding. Just wasn’t the same. Haven’t looked back and probably won’t be getting this one either.

      I never got into raiding. I kind of want to, but I definitely don’t have the time, effort or skill to really do any good. So I just play for fun and exploration.

      I’m starting to think I might try this new expansion just to use the updated character models…though maybe that part will be automatic.
