First Trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier Hits All the Right Beats!
The first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit the Internet today, and it is awesome in ways I had not predicted.
Oh man, I really liked that trailer! It’s action-packed, but it’s focus is clearly on Steve Rogers, and I think that’s great. His line, “That isn’t freedom, that’s fear” was fantastic! I hope the movie has a lot of that in it. At the same time, both the Falcon and the Winter Soldier seem almost arbitrary to the political action, which I like more. So we’ll see how it all pans out. Captain America 2 has definitely started out on the right foot.

Ya it looks pretty awesome. And with Black Widow, The Falcon, and Nick Fury all co-starring, it’s almost like a mini Avengers movie.
Very much so! I’m glad they added Black Widow since Hollywood is probably kind of hesitant to give her a solo movie. I hope it happens, but Hollywood is still gonna be Hollywood.
Falcon and Winter Soldier, eh, neither look needed. I am very excited for some good team-building characterization for Cap, and Black Widow. This seems to be exactly what I love in Cap stories, the idea of the “Old-Fashioned” WWII Cap values versus SHIELD’s strategy, being Lawful Good in the modern world. If they can focus on that, and not something random about Bucky, then this movie will be amazing.
I absolutely agree. Falcon, especially, seemed extraneous to the awesome political movie that trailer was setting up.
