Injustice DLC Characters Cracked, Break My Heart
Good news, everybody! I finally have a working X-Box again, and the first game I bought was Injustice: Gods Among Us! I was writing about that game for so long, I just couldn’t wait to play it. Of course, many of you readers know that I was writing about that game because I wanted to see Robin as a playable character – only to have my hopes cruelly dashed!
Well I held on to a glimmer of hope that Robin would show up in the DLC, but it looks like that’s not going to be the case either. At least if the Internet is to be believed. Some guy apparently hacked the DLC coding on the Injustice disc to unlock the identities of all four DLC characters.
First up, we already know that Lobo was the first DLC character. He’s already playable. Then DC announced just this week that Batgirl would be the second DLC character, and I think she’s a fine choice. The guy posted his predictions back on April 19, but Batgirl was just announced this past week, so he’s 2 for 2 already.
And according to this Internet Man, the last two DLC characters will be…drum roll please…General Zod and Scorpion.
WHAT THE WHAT!? Lame!
Ugh. What horrible choices. Nobody cares about General Zod. Nobody has ever cared about General Zod. I realize he’s the villain in the big Man of Steel movie this summer, and cross-promotions are all the rage, but come on! Zod? The comics have had half a dozen different versions of Zod over the past few years. He’s a stupid character!
And he’s not Robin.
Then there’s Scorpion, from Mortal Kombat. Lordy, what have we done to deserve this? It’s like when they put Freddy Krueger in the last Mortal Kombat game. It’s a cheap, gimmicky stunt that doesn’t accomplish anything other than developer-wankery. And Scorpion is definitely not Robin.
So take this rumor for what you will. For me personally, it breaks my tender, Robin-loving heart.

My friend is a big Zod fan, for some reason, he’s pumped to see him. But, yeah, this DLC is kinda bland. Needs more shiny costumed Lanterns or Flashes. Yeah, and Robin.
Agreed, Zod is dissapointing choice. Scorpion, on the other hand is a stupid money-grab that doesn’t even make sense. If I wanted to play a fighting game with Scorpion in it I would just grab my copy of MK. The entire pantheon of cool butt-kicking DC superheroes at their disposal and they choose a character who is not even a DC character. Robin would be awesome and even less prominent characters like Constantine would have opened up some truly interesting play mechanics. But no, let’s re-hash a character that’s been used in fighting games countless times. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
It’s a…I’m not sure a safe, non-insulting way to describe it. But developers love to pat themselves on the back, so they throw in their pet character regardless of anything, really. Scorpion is disappointing.
