Marvel LEGO Video Game – Because The Universe Apparently Loves Me

They’re going to make a Marvel superheroes LEGO video game. Because hells yes!

Dreams really do come true

I am a huge fan of Marvel superheroes, LEGOs and video games, so this is a no-brainer. Well, that’s not entirely true. I haven’t really played a LEGO video game all the way through since the original LEGO Star Wars games. I even somehow passed on the LEGO DC superhero games. Mostly because they don’t have online co-op. How can a video game in this day and age not have online co-op? It’s ridiculous!

But nonetheless, this is awesome. I only wish LEGO would come out with more Marvel superhero building sets. They’ve got a few for the Avengers movie, a couple Spider-Man sets and then one with Wolverine, Magneto and Deadpool flying a helicopter. What’s up with that? The mini-figs are cool, but I’m not gonna pay $20 for a LEGO helicopter.

Maybe I’ll get super lucky and this new game will feature Multiple Man, Mimic and Phil Urich, all my favorite obscure Marvel characters…

The game will be released for all the major systems sometime this fall. I’m going to pay particularly close attention to the co-op announcements. If they have online co-op, then I’ll pressure my girlfriend or my brother to get it with me. If not, I may pass. In the meantime, maybe the DC superheroes game has gone down in price…

Because everybody knows that Deadpool is the Scrooge McDuck of the Marvel Universe

    I played a little bit of the LEGO DC Superheroes game the other day. And it is genuinely fun. But boy it is very much intended for couch co-op. I assume it would be excrutiating to play one player.

    LEGO Star Wars was the only other one I played. But that was a great single-player game. I almost preferred it that way. I still “need” to play the 3rd one that came out based on the cartoon….or I don’t. Either way….yes, if Marvel LEGO is on-line co-op, I’m so in. Dibs on Cyclops! Failing that, dibs on Magneto and/or Iron Man…I guess.
