Multiple Man By Way of DeviantArt

If you’re not familiar with DeviantArt, it’s a website where artists can post their work for the entire Internet to see. It’s great! Fun to just browse and take a look at various projects and masterpieces. It’s also a fantastic place to see superhero fan art, which is my primary use for DeviantArt. Everyday fans like you and me can draw superheroes to their hearts’ content and post them online for other fans to enjoy. It’s one of the things to love about the Internet.

So just for kicks and giggles, I decided to see what kind of fan art is out there for my favorite comic book character: Multiple Man.

Let’s take a look at some of the best ones.

First up is ‘Multiple Man’ by Mr. Representational.

I really like this one. It’s got style, it’s got class, and it’s got a nod to Madrox’s current gig as a private detective. Plus it showcases his powers in a fun and original way. Definitely a great pic.

More after the jump.

Next we have ‘Multiple Man Sketch Card’ by stickfiguredancer.

He’s got the costume I like, which is essentially just the T-shirt. Different faces is good. Clear cut lines and colors, a great job all around. I’d definitely like to see a full-bodied, fully drawn image by this artist instead of just a sketch card. I assume artists know that a ‘sketch card’ is, because I’m only guessing.

Next up is ‘X-Factor: Multiple Man’ by arunion.

Classic costume, with a change from green or brown trenchcoat to red. I like the color change. Red is a good look on Multiple Man. This is his old superhero look, if you can call it that. Madrox wore this in the 90s, when leather and coats were in and tights and capes were out. I loved it then and I love it now. Good job.

Now we have a simple job called ‘Multiple Man PSC’ by cabbie1120.

Another sketch card, I believe. He squeezes in a lot of Multiple Men, which is good, and uses the modern day costume, which I love. Solid picture. I’d bay for a drawing like this.

The next picture is some old school doodling on a piece of lined paper, called ‘X-Factor – Badecodename-man’ by thekeet.

This sketch looks fantastic! If only the artist put in the time and effort to draw it on real artistic paper, and color it. The individual duplicates look great. The expressions are fantastic. Brilliant picture…if only the artist went the extra mile. And c’mon, I’ve always liked his code name!

Another fine example of Madrox in his old 90s costume. If you’re going to draw the dupes, do something fun with them, like in ‘X factor requests 6 and 7 of 10’ by eisu.

Playing cards against himself is just a neat image. And I like the different variations on the old costume. Some with masks, some without. Only one with a coat. Cartoony and fun.

Adorable! Get me a million of these ‘Multiple Copies’ by Pornomaniac.

Despite the artist’s less than kosher name, this is just a cute little sketch. He’s like chibi-Madrox. If only he’d thrown in a couple duplicates.

Here we have a piece called ‘I think I’m a clone now’ by SpamtheFox.

Madrox as a silly sort of cartoon character, I love it. He looks like the sad sack sort, always one step behind success, but smart enough to know he should keep trying. This is just a fun picture.

I think that’s enough for now. There are plenty more on DeviantArt, but these are the best ones I found. Go ahead and take a look for yourself if you’ve never visited that site before. You never know what you might find! And maybe I’ll do this again with another character someday. It was fun.
